Branchage Jersey International Film Festival

Created by filmmaker Xanthe Hamilton, Branchage is today an internationally-recognised film festival for the island of Jersey.

The festival takes its name from the Jersey tradition Visite du Branchage, a biannual check that all island residents have fulfilled their obligation to ensure that hedges, branches and trees growing on their property are trimmed so they do not encroach on public roads and footpaths.

Branchage showcases the opportunities that Jersey can offer as a location to international filmmakers, with special industry Happy Hours every day of the festival as well as introducing a range of industry and film education events hosted by the likes of BAFTA, Sheffield Doc Fest and Shooting People. We also launch our very own 45-hour film challenge! Inviting talented filmmakers to explore the island and plan, shoot and edit a classic short in just 45 hours.

The event will take place from the 1st to the 4th of October.
