Is interesting that it happened to be a Saturday morning when I bumped into this brilliant animation by Gene Fowler. It has a lovely tactile style that sends you (or people my age) by to your childhood years, and every weekend you hoped that this time the Coyote will finally catch that pesky Roadrunner. I love the characters (specially the old farmer), the colours and the overall feeling of this cartoon. I hope to see it sometime made into a series (and that it makes it to the UK, of course).
Gene explains: “Just for Laughs came aboard back in early 2008 to help make this demo and remain our partners on the gig. Mick Harrison handled the storyboard, set the theme reall well. Jmac and I finished up the animation with some help from Ian Brenneman and a few other very talented folks. Dacapo hammered out the sound design and Beans put it all together.”
