Is inter­est­ing that it hap­pened to be a Sat­ur­day morn­ing when I bumped into this bril­liant ani­ma­tion by Gene Fowler. It has a lovely tac­tile style that sends you (or peo­ple my age) by to your child­hood years, and every week­end you hoped that this time the Coy­ote will finally catch that pesky Road­run­ner. I love the char­ac­ters (spe­cially the old farmer), the colours and the over­all feel­ing of this car­toon. I hope to see it some­time made into a series (and that it makes it to the UK, of course).

Gene explains: “Just for Laughs came aboard back in early 2008 to help make this demo and remain our part­ners on the gig. Mick Har­ri­son han­dled the sto­ry­board, set the theme reall well. Jmac and I fin­ished up the ani­ma­tion with some help from Ian Bren­ne­man and a few other very tal­ented folks. Dacapo ham­mered out the sound design and Beans put it all together.”
