Marvin Digs © Paramount Pictures

Here’s a blast from the past for you to enjoy. Marvin Digs is a short animation that produced by Ralph Bakshi (The animation pioneer who brought us ‘Cool World’) for Paramount Pictures in 1967.

Marvin is a teenager from the decade of the sixties who looks like a walking hairball. Charged with the hefty task of painting the living room, his dad decides to delegate the responsibility to Marvin, who cheerfully accepts and sets off to the pain shop, offering flowers to any person he crosses his path. Upon his return a TV message from the city’s mayor inspires him not to let the boundaries of the living room be the limit of his creativity.
