Dutch ani­ma­tor Job Kind has launched a mes­meris­ing music video called “Run­away” from Dutch singer/songwriter Bart van der Lee. The pencil-test look of it has a sort of nos­tal­gic touch, not only from an animator’s point of view but also for the song itself, I think it works quite well.

Parts of the video have a vibe of a crossover between Bill Plymp­ton and Peter Chung, a com­bi­na­tion nobody could have done on pur­pose. Kind’s style really is one of a kind, well… not really but it’s some­thing very spe­cial. Enjoy!
