If you haven't seen this, The Amazing Screw-On Head is a comic book written by Mike Mignola, creator of Hell Boy, and published by Dark Horse Comics. In 2006 an animated pilot was produced and pitched to the Sci-Fi Channel, despite the brilliance of its plot and the great acting talent of Paul Giamatti (Screw-On Head), David Hyde Pierce (Emperor Zombie), Molly Shannon (Patience) and Patton Oswalt (Mr. Groin) the channel didn't go for it and it never got made. The pilot was released on DVD but that was the end of it.

I remember watching this fantastic pilot a couple of years ago and being charmed by the 'three-centuries-ago' feeling, both in timeframe and character design style. Even the technology you see on it, seems to be of modern conception but devised with the machines existing in that time. I wish someone would come to his senses and produce this. I know if I had the means I would!
