Salesman Pete

When I saw this yesterday, my eyes were sweating with excitement, then my jaw fell right on my little toe and made me cry even more. This is all figuratively speaking of course… honest! I’m not sure what I liked more, the mad, shotgun-style creative pattern (or lack of it) that becomes obvious just by listening to the script or the lovingly crafted animation and graphics. You could pick a frame at random and frame it. This short is truly a celebration to creativity.

I picture the brain-storming session, everyone involved opened their brains’ room and said, ok go out and bring back home whatever you wish, and all the brains leave in a Tasmanian Devil fashion, bringing back home, well, almost everything. So they put everything in.

And it works.

Pete is a nice and clumsy salesman. But he’s also a deadly super secret agent with a microprocessor implanted into his brain by some mad scientists from the governement ! He has to secretly stop a bunch of badguys who stole a magic stone that can change anything into seafood!
